Radiator Cover

Last summer, when it became clear that the cost of gas was going to increase in the winter, I realised that our bedroom needed an addition. The bedroom is incredibly small, and the bed fits in there like a Tetris piece, which led to the radiator either being blocked, or alternatively there being a all-swallowing hole between the side of the bed and the radiator.

I did my research on how radiators function, and made this design. Because I am cheap as heck, I based the design on the cheapest available wood items exactly. The metal grid on top is aluminium, which radiates heat for longer than other available perforated metal sheets available (for cheap, of course).

My partner helped me with the assembly, and after a (mild) winter, I can confidentially say that the room heats up much quicker. The cats also adore their heated thrones.
